8:50 - 9:00	Arrival
9:00 - 9:40	Creative Play Period Child initiated small muscle activities: painting, playdoh, cutting, pasting, collages, building blocks, cars and trucks, puzzles, manipulatives, a book corner, dress-ups, dramatic play center, wood working, water/cornmeal play, and child dramatization.
9:40 - 10:00	Group Participation Time Teacher initiated activities: calendar and weather discussions, number experiences, simple science experiments and experiences, simple cooking, etc.
10:00 - 10:20	Large Muscle Activities Indoor and outdoor play: climbing, bikes, riding equipment, balls, playground activities, etc.
10:20 - 11:00	Snack Time
11:00 - 11:15	Circle Time Musical rhymes and games, stories, poems, finger plays, dramatizations, discussions, etc.
11:30	Dismissal

This special music time is incorporated into the nursery school day. Children have the opportunity to participate in singing games and physical exercise with music. They enjoy chanting and singing rhymes and songs, as well as responding creatively to music using scarves, ribbons, balls, hoops, instruments, bean bags, etc. A special music teacher meets with the Four-year-old and Pre-Kindergarten classes twice each week, and with the Two and Three-year-old classes once each week. We are confident that these beginning musical experiences provide an important foundation for future musical growth and appreciation.
