Southminster Nursery School was established in 1951, coordinated with the
building of the education wing of the Southminster Presbyterian Church.
As the first Nursery School in the area,
it would exist to serve not only church members, but also the community.
Now, fifty plus years later, Southminster Nursery School operates on the
same basic principles present at its inception,
and maintains the same high standards on which it was founded.
The variety of programs that we offer affords the opportunity to select
the class which best suits the child's needs. Our Nursery School
program allows for a maximum student-teacher ratio of 1:8. The Board
of Directors, our Nursery School Director, and our competent staff are
continually evaluating and restructuring the program to ensure that the
needs of each child are met. It is our continuing hope that Southminster
Nursery School will be a rich and positive experience for every child
enrolled in the program.
Southminster Nursery School is open to all children in the community regardless of race,
religion or national origin.
